I run a mobile bike repair gig and need a simple liability waiver plus maybe an independent contractor agreement for my helper. LegalNature keeps popping up in search results. Anyone here actually used them? Wondering if their templates are decent for a tiny operation like mine. Thanks.
LegalNature for a mobile bicycle repair business: has anyone tried it?
I used them for a rental agreement a couple years back. Worked fine for the price. Not sure about bike-specific waivers though.
Following. I need the exact same thing for my mobile Repair setup. What’s their pricing like?
Their templates are generic. If you want somethig specific like a liability waiver that actually holds up when someone’s bike falls off the stand, you might be better off with a lawyer or a specialized service. But for a basic contract between you and a helper? Probably fine. Just don’t expect anything bike-specific.
Pricing was around $50 for a one-time doc I think? Or maybe $9 per doc. It’s been a while.
I tried them for a waiver once. It was okay but I ended up tweaking it with a free template from my local SBA office. Felt more confident that way.
Appreciate the replies so far. @PickleNoise – that’s my worry. A waiver for mobile repair is a bit niche. Maybe I’ll grab their contractor agreement and hunt down a bike-specific waiver elsewhere. Anyone know a good source?
Honestly? Just make sure you have insurance. No paper is a substitute for that. LegalNature is fine for the basics but don’t skip liability coverage.
@RustyChain – what kind of insurance do you carry for mobile repairs? I’m just starting out.
I carry general liability, and a separate tool/equipment rider. I’ll dig up my insurer’s name if you want.
Pretty sure LegalNature is Fine for a contractor agreement, but I’d second the insurance point. Also, free tip: get a written sign-off on pickup. That saved my bacon once.
Wait, @PickleNoise – can you post that insurer? I’m alsoo looking for mobile-specific coverage. LegalNature advice is helpful but insurance is the real headache.
