I've formed two LLCs with Inc Authority in the past, and I'm thinking about using them again for a third business. Their free LLC service is tempting, but I'm wondering if there are hidden fees or if their upsells get aggressive. Has anyone used them for multiple businesses? How was the experience the second or third time around? Any issues with their registered agent service?
Has anyone used Inc Authority for multiple businesses?
Used them twice. First time was smooth, second time they kept pushing their registered agent and compliance packages. I just said no thanks and it was fine. But if you're forming a third, maybe check out other options? There are cheaper registered agents out there.
I've only used them once, but my cousin used them for three businesses. She said the first was free, but the second and third had some fees she didn't expect. Not sure of the details though.
Free is never free. You pay for it with your inbox getting spammed and your phone ringing off the hook with upsells. I used them once and that was enough.
Thanks for the warning. I didn't get too many calls the first time, but I did get a ton of emails. Did you end up using their registered agent service? I'm curious if it's worth it or if I should go with a different provider.
Their registered agent is okay but overpriced. I switched to a local one after the first year. If you're forming multiple businesses, you might want to find a registered agent that offers discounts for multiple entities.
I've used Inc Authority for two businesses and honestly, I had a good experience. The upsells are there but you can decline them. The second time, they actually gave me a discount on the registered agent because I was a returning customer. Just ask.
Why would you keep using them if you're not sure? There are plenty of other services. I used them once and then switched to doing it myself. It's not that hard.
Doing it yourself is fine until you mess up the paperwork and get fined. But yeah, Inc Authority isn't the only game in town.
I think thhe key is to just be firm with the upsells. They're not a scam, just aggressive sales.
Aggressive is an understatement. I felt like I was being interrogated about why I didn't want their compliance package. No thanks
I appreciate all the feedback. I think I'll give them another shot but be prepared to say no to the extras. If anyone has a recommendation for a good registered agent that works with multiple LLCs, let me know.
