Did Inc Authority help anyone set up an LLC for a consulting firm?

I'm starting a consulting firm and considering using Inc Authority to set up my LLC. Has anyone here used them? Specifically, did they actually help with the consulting-specific stuff like contracts or just the filing? Any feedback on pricing and hidden fees would be great too.

Used them for my LLC last year. They file the paperwork, but don't expect any consulting advice. It's basically a form-filling service. The free LLC is just a hook for upsells

I didn't use them, but a friend did. She said they charged extra for things like EIN and registered agent that you can do yourself for free. Just a heads up.

Inc Authority is fine if you want someone to click buttons for you. But for a consulting firm, you might want to talk to a lawyer about contracts and liability. They won't help with that.

Honestly, filing an LLC is so easy. I did mine through my state's website in 20 minutes. Saved a few hundred bucks. Unless you're totally lost, skip the service.

I used Inc Authority for my consulting LLC. They were okay. But yeah, they try to sell you a bunch of extras. I paid for the registered agent service for the first year, then switched to a cheaper one. No big complaints, but no high praise either.

Wait, they charge for EIN? That's literally free on the IRS site. Wow.

So would you all recommend them for a first-timer? I just want to make sure I don't mess up the paperwork.

If you can follow instructions, you can do it yourself. The state sites are pretty straightforward. Inc Authority might be good if you're really busy or easily confused.

I'd add: if you're a consultant, your biggest risk is liability. Make sure you have a solid contract and maybe E&O insurance. The LLC is just one piece. Inc Authority won't help with that

Also, check if your state requires a business license for consulting. Some cities do. The LLC filing service might not mention that.

To follow up on the EIN thing, yes they wanted to charge me $50 to get it, but i did it myself. Saved that. Overall, Inc Authority was fine for the filing, but don't expect anything more.

I used used them for my marketing consulting LLC. No issues, but I agree with others—it's just a filing service. I paid for the basic package and ignored the upsells. Got my LLC certificate in about a week. But I had to get my own EIN and set up my own operating agreement. They don't provide that.
