I'm finally getting an LLC set up for my side business. I've been looking at Bizee and Inc Authority because they seem to be the two big cheap ones. I'm comparing the pricing and what you actually get. I'd really like to hear from people who have used either one. Would you use them again? I'm particularly interested in what happens after the formation, like the registered agent service and hidden fees.
Bizee vs inc authority, which one would you use again?
I used Inc Authority for my farm supply LLC a few years back. The free formation is tempting, but they push hard on the registered agent service and other upsells. I ended up paying for the registered agent and it's been fine, no issues. But I'm not sure I'd go with them again just because the sales calls were constant.
Constant sales calls are a dealbreaker for me. I'd rather pay a flat fee upfront anf be left alone.
I've used both. Bizee for a food truck LLC and Inc Authority for a rental property. Bizee was more straightforward. Their pricing seemed transparent. Inc Authority's free formation is only free if you don't need anything else, and the registered agent renews at a higher rate. Bizee's dashboard is cleaner too. If I had to do it again, I'd probably go with Bizee, but I'd still consider a local lawyer for anything complex.
What's the annual cost for Bizee's registered agent after the first year? I'm in a similar spot and trying to estimate ongoing expenses.
Their registered agent renews around $119 a year I think. Inc Authority might be a bit higher. You can always switch to a cheaper service later if it's too much.
Both are fine for a basic LLC, but if you're in it for the long haul, consider forming it yourself and using a cheaper registered agent like Northwest. You'll save money and avoid the upsell nonsense. Bizee and Inc Authority are just middlemen.
Yeah, but the DIY route means you handle the paperwoork yourself. Some people don't want that hassle. I know the service was worth it for me at the time.
I've heard some people say Inc Authority's free formation isn't truly free because they charge for the EIN. Is that true?
Last I checked, Inc Authority's free package doesn't include EIN application, but you can get it for free from the IRS yourself. Bizee might include it in some packages. Always read the fine print. Either way, you shouldn't pay extra flr an EIN.
